SpotStitch is a platform designed to connect users with local events and activities, enhancing community engagement. My role was to create illustrations for onboarding.

Task
Create an onboarding flow where each “stage” becomes more complete as users progress through the flow. Capture a feeling where users “level up” on their journey.
Drafts
Having pixel elements throughout SpotStitch’s hight-fidelity mobile screens gave me an idea on how to execute a cohesive onboarding flow. As for colours I went with the existing green colour palette for consistency.

after receiving guidance and approval from the design lead I included additional variations for the remaining onboarding flow.
Final Design
Flow 1 – Basic Info
After conducting user testing on the high-fidelity prototype, I implemented the feedback given into finalizing the interface. Once completed, the designs were handed off to the development team.
Flow 2 – Personal Account
If users are creating a SpotStitch account for personal use, the onboarding flow will differ from a vendor’s experience. By the end of both users’ onboarding experience, the illustration becomes more detailed with each progress made.
Flow 3 – Vendor Account
Vendors are asked a series of questions during the onboarding flow to understand their business needs.
